Kill J blew our minds on ‘Bullet’ - a wobbly, dubby, Scandi-pop banger packed with quickfire 808s and catty vox, delivered through what sounded like a shattered loudhailer. New cut ‘You Have Another Lover’ is a decidedly slower-burning offering. Accompanied by little more than a distantly whining synth and a pulsing kick drum, the vocals elongate, lose transparency, and stretch like shadows on a wall, creeping on to the crescendo and a wash of cinematic strings. Although it’s a total contrast to the righteous fury of ‘Bullet’, it’s still utterly compelling.
